Postural deviations from the norm are possible indications of... the loss of Neural-spinal integrity and compromised function.
As stated in AJPM ’94; 4:36-39 by C. Norman Shealy, MD,
“Posture affects and moderates every physiological function from breathing to hormonal production. Spinal pain, headaches, moods, blood pressure, pulse, and lung capacity are among the functions most easily influenced by posture.
The most significant influences of posture are upon respiration, oxygenation, and sympathetic function. Ultimately, it appears that homeostasis and autonomic regulation are intimately connected with posture.
The corollary of these observations is that many symptoms, including pain, may be moderated or eliminated by improved posture.”
Postural changes are a sign of Neurological and Physiological adaptations do to long-term abnormal loads of physical, chemical and emotional stress and tension.
Each state of posturing: has a Neural-Spinal Structural Identity within our bodies corresponding functions / behaviors reflecting our current physiological state of consciousness flexibility, adaptability and emotional range it brings with it. Whether its personally or professionally we are posturing our mental and emotional states as we relate with life's daily interactions.
|Posture is a direct reflection of your present state of consciousness|
